Changes in Neural Reward Processing Following Amplification of Positivity Treatment for Depression and Anxiety: Outcomes From a Randomized Waitlist Controlled Trial

چکیده
The positive valence system (PVS) is an important yet understudied treatment target in anxiety and depression. A pilot trial (NCT02330627) evaluating the efficacy of Amplification Positivity (AMP), a new transdiagnostic activity intervention protocol for depression, showed that, compared to waitlist control group, patients group had significantly larger improvements affect—returning participants, on average, normative levels emotional functioning. neural mechanisms underlying these changes are unknown but may increase our understanding that eventually lead improved, more targeted treatments. present study therefore investigated reward-processing-related following AMP.

A waitlist-controlled trial of group cognitive behavioural therapy for depression and anxiety in Parkinson’s disease
BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of a group Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) treatment for depression and anxiety in Parkinson's disease (PD). METHODS A waitlist-controlled trial design was used. Eighteen adults with PD and a comorbid DSM-IV-TR diagnosis of depression and/or anxiety were randomised to either Intervention (8-week group CBT treatment) or Waitlist...

متن کاملStepped care treatment for depression and anxiety in primary care. a randomized controlled trial
BACKGROUND Depressive and anxiety disorders are common in general practice but not always treated adequately. Introducing stepped care might improve this. In this randomized trial we examined the effectiveness of such a stepped care model. METHODS The study population consisted of primary care attendees aged 18-65 years with minor or major DSM-IV depressive and/or anxiety disorders, recruited...
